Natural Gas Odorator Localized in Iran
TEHRAN (Shana) — The head of the Khorasan-e-Razavi Gas Company announced the design and construction of a local sample of a natural gas odor intensity test instrument by relying on local savvy.
According to the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC), Hassan Eftekhari said: “Construction of the natural gas odorator has been done in order to localize strategic items of the gas industry and due to the need to replace imported items with domestic products.”
He added that the device has features such as digital calibration, air and gas flow monitoring, intelligent measurement assistant, unneeded results correction, industrial communication port and rechargeable battery, which are much more advanced than their American rivals and 30% lower in price.
The head of the Khorasan-e-Razavi Gas Company stated: “With commercialization and mass production of the domestic model of this device, the dependence of provincial gas companies on the American model will be completely eliminated.”
