NIDC Localizes Strategic Coolant
TEHRAN (Shana) – Researchers at the National Iranian Drilling Company (NIDC) have successfully produced and localized ELC super coolant.
According to NIDC, Asghar Sadiqabadi, an NIDC researcher, said the coolant was produced by support from the engineering department of the company.
He said the coolant was used in various engines like caterpillar, deutz, oem, ect. and was only supplied by western companies previously.
The ELC super cooling formulation uses new corrosion inhibitors and antifouling agents, thereby extending the useful life of the engines, Sadiqabadi said.
“The localized item is environmentally friendly and can be manufactured domestically,” said the researcher.
