Wellhead Platform Loaded for Salman Oilfield
TEHRAN (Shana) — The S1 Platform of Salman Oilfield, built by relying on domestic capabilities, has been loaded from Khorramshahr Yard.
The structure, ordered by the Iranian Offshore Oil Company), was loaded on Monday evening.
The platform is built for drilling 6 offshore wells at Salman Oilfield in the Persian Gulf and is expected to increase the production capacity of the field by 6,000 to 6,500 barrels per day.
The platform was built by an Iranian private company without relying on foreign firms. Construction of the structure began in 2014 with €50 million investment.
